I provide mental health counseling to children, adults, couples and families for more than 23 years. I have practiced in different types settings with diverse populations and backgrounds including children, adults, couple and families with varieties of issues which include mental health, behavioral issues, conflict, grief and loss, stress, trauma, chemical abuse and domestic issues.
I specialize in working with individuals or children with PTSD/trauma, anxiety, depression, domestic violence issues, stress and other loss related issues. Clinical interests and competencies include communication improvement, conflict resolution, stress management and mindfulness skills.
I provide clinical social work supervision and consultation to mental health practitioners and mental health professionals.

Experience:
I have diverse experience in working with children, families, adolescents, teenagers, couples, adults with mental health and chemical health issues. I have experience in psychotherapy and have been practicing for more than 23 years. My approach is eclectic and designed to fit the individual and their needs, compassion, individual strengths, insight, cognitive and cultural sensitive. Most treatment modalities are based on the needs of the person since everyone is special in their own way. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is used most of the time for children and adults; other approach includes Psycho-education, Psychodynamic and Solution Based Therapy. I also use play therapy on children who have experienced maltreatment and trauma.
My goal is to design and implement a treatment plan that will fit the person and allow for successful symptoms and problem resolution as well as personal growth
